Michael Winther has been working as a freelance trainer, consultant and supervisor since 1990. He was an original member of Büro Cöln Süd and the consulting firm Lange, Winther & Partner. In 2005 he founded STRATEGIO. Hoffmeyer. Winther. Consulting together with his colleague Werner Hoffmeyer.
During the past 17 years Michael Winther has become a renowned authority on organizational development and the Continuous Improvement Process throughout Germany and Europe. He is one of the most sought-after consultants for change management in Germany today.
Michael Winther started out as a machinist and worked in prototype manufacturing at Kolb Maschinenfabrik. He then studied social and media pedagogy in Germany and the United States of America. After completing his master's degree at the University of Cologne he worked for numerous social organizations.
He also received his supervision certificate at the Institute for Humanistic Psychology in Eschweiler and completed additional training as an organizational development consultant at the Management Center St. Gallen. He held the position of director of social work at the Diakonie in Cologne before embarking on his freelance consulting business.
